10 Vegan Restaurants in Brazil

Until very recently, vegan restaurant options in Brazil were very limited, and people who choose this lifestyle – or those who just enjoy vegan food – didn’t have many options of places to eat out. Today, things have changed quite a bit, and vegan restaurants are much easier to find, especially in major Brazilian cities.

To make things even better, many of these restaurants offer creative, elaborate and tasty dishes that attract even those who thought vegan cuisine boils down to just plain salad.

In today’s post, we have made a list with 10 vegan restaurants around Brazil, with varied menus that feature classic dishes such as hamburger and feijoada – in their vegan versions, of course – and prices for all budgets.

  • Bio Carioca – Rio de Janeiro

Serving healthy and creative dishes, Bio Carioca is a great vegetarian and vegan option in Copacabana. The restaurant has a large menu and offers a fixed menu option at lunchtime, and it features a great variety of juices, as well as a delicious vegan feijoada, served on Saturdays.

  • Vegacy – São Paulo

Vegacy is located on Rua Augusta, one of the most famous streets in São Paulo. Quite popular in the region, the restaurant offers a per kilo buffet (a “weigh what you eat” type of service), and is is also a snack bar (from Thursday to Saturday).

  • Camaraderia Gastrobar – Belo Horizonte
